Campbell takes new role

The Financial Markets Authority’s former head of supervision Kirsty Campbell has moved to a role at Catalyst Advisory Partners.

Campbell has held a range of senior roles in corporate finance, banking, law and regulation in the UK and New Zealand.

She joined Catalyst in 2016 from the FMA, where she oversaw a team of 25 people supervising financial service providers for conduct issues, and monitoring compliance with all relevant legislation.

She had previously managed the commercial supervision team within the FMA, and was with ANZ before that.

Campbell said: "I left the FMA at Christmas and started with Catalyst in late January after a nice long summer break.  Catalyst is a private business specialist that works with privately-owned businesses on governance, strategy, growth options and financing solutions.

"Obviously a passion of mine is still the financial markets, so I’m keeping in touch with many financial services businesses, most of which fit within that mid-market corporate space.  I’ve also taken on a governance role with one of the boutique fund managers, so that’s great for keeping up to speed with developments in financial services regulation and compliance issues."

Catalyst offers strategy and business planning, help with governance and leadership, succession and change, growth and capital structure and corporate finance.
