The NZ Super Fund has written off the value of its investment in Ogin, a US wind turbine company.
It invested $55 million in the firm in 2013.
The company's plans to develop new products before listing never came to pass.
Ogin failed to raise more capital last year and the Super Fund wrote down the value of its investment to nil.
