It will be given access to market data so it can extend the companies it provides research on in New Zealand.
Shareclarity managing director Daniel Kieser said: “We are excited to be working with the NZX and see this as the first of many opportunities to help increase investor and issuer participation in the New Zealand share market.”
Research has been a hot topic of late as the NZX looks to sell Fundsource. New Zealand's research options have dwindled in recent years.
NZX head of issuer relationships Joanna Lawn said: “The NZX is keen to support new and innovative businesses that educate investors and improve their access to relevant information. This arrangement with Shareclarity will assist in facilitating broader access to company research in the New Zealand market, particularly for smaller companies and those looking to list.”
An NZX spokeswoman said the deal would have no impact on Fundsource.
