Allen, formerly a business development executive at the adviser group, will become a business development manager at FMT.
The executive will work from the FMT Auckland office, as the non-bank lender looks to build its adviser network.
Allen has worked in the property finance sector for more than 20 years, specialising in residential and commercial development and bridging finance.
The company said the Allen had an appreciation of advisers' roles, and "the changes they are going through with the new licensing regime".
Allen said: "I am really excited to be working for one of the largest property non-bank lenders in the country and to assist the adviser network in providing great outcomes for their clients. I understand transactions from the adviser’s perspective and the challenges around sourcing and securing business."
Before joining Loan Market, Allen worked for DBR Property Financiers for eight and a half years in various management roles.
