AMP says its adviser head count is down 10% to 460, but it's nothing to do with the takeover of AXA.
Managing director Jack Regan says that in the past the company had over-reported the number of advisers because of some "loose arrangements", dual or multiple agencies and dormant relationships.
Also AXA counted its advisers number differently to AMP.
Regan says the two adviser forces are working well together.
