Managing director John Body says the bank has, as expected, submitted a comprehensive application that should meet all the requirements.
He said the licence will be for ANZ advisers rather than independent financial advisers.
"Our goal for the adviser market is to produce some great well-rated products that outperform, are priced competitively" as well as to provide a wrap service that is cost-effective to advisers.
"That's how we think we can help," he said.
