The Ross Asset Management Investors Group (RAMIG) is approaching its members about raising funds to get independent legal advice.
It said it was clear that after three years since RAM collapsed, there was little progress in recovering the money David Ross stole from investors.
"The prospect looms large of very little of the stolen money being recovered. Ownership of the recovered money appears to be a serious issue. There seems to be serious problems with the commercial law in NZ."
