A draft reserve management plan that looks at opening up as much of the entire Tongariro Domain as possible, includes providing leases at least until 2015.Those leases can be reviewed in the 2011-12 financial year for any potential extension. They are the Taupo Bowling Club, Lakeland Lions' miniature train, Taupo Senior Citizens, Taupo Women's Club and Taupo Museum.
The Taupo Society of Arts in Redoubt St will also have a lease until 2015, although the building may have to be realigned at some stage.
However, the Taupo Nui-a-Tia Tennis Club lease on the North Domain expires in 2009, at which time its position will be reviewed.
The club has permission for an annual licence to operate an eighth court at its sole risk as it lies partly within a designated realignment of Redoubt St.
