IFA CEO goes

Hello

Breaking news today is that IFA chief executive David Hutton has decided to step down from the role and go back to consulting. We have more in the People section here. The IFA this week as also continued its controversial name and shame regime, suspending an adviser.

Also this week we update readers on how well the life insurance market has been going in the past couple of years and we have a story on PIS doing a deal with one of the other risk groups in the market place.

Also last week's story suggesting advisers sell as much level term cover as they can has provoked a few comments.

IFA continues name and shame regime; suspends member
The Institute of Financial Advisers has continued along its path of "naming and shaming" advisers, and has placed Timaru-based member Neville Cant on an interim suspension for failing to respond to queries over several complaints. More


PIS seals deal with risk group
Professional Investment Services (PIS) has formed a joint venture with risk advisory group Minerva that will create a business of more than 150 advisers. More


Life insurance sales soar, as do lapses
Sales of life insurance policies have soared over the last two years and it is largely because of mortgage brokers moving into the market. More
