Tick tock, take stock
Friday 13th November
Hi
REINZ statistics out today show the "boom" continues to gain momentum, with median house prices at a 10-year high.
But take heed, as the undercurrents at work in the market are starting to emerge. Westpac economists warn that another correction is in the pipe-line, due to surface towards the end of next year and that current growth is unsustainable due to under-supply kick-starting the building sector and rising mortgage rates.
Also in the news this week are warnings for leaky home owners, banks and the government.
Now would be a good time to pause, take stock of the market and proceed with caution. We all know positive growth doesn't last forever.
Have a great weekend.
Warm regards
The Landlord
