NZ Property Investor magazine Property tax kicked into touch

HiNZ Property Investor magazine

We are already half way into February and the residential property market has been inundated with media-hype around potential law changes since the New Year.

John Key kicked most of the proposed tax changes into touch this week, and a number of our readers breathed a huge sigh of relief! We have a story here which sparked a lot of comments. However potential GST increases and changes to the depreciation rules could still have a big impact on property investors.

We look at which rules are likely to be changed and the effect this could have on residential property investing in our March issue, due out Monday 1st March. We have limited availability of space for advertisers in this feature if you wish to promote your accounting services to our readers, but hurry our deadline for bookings is tomorrow.

What's coming up?
In the April issue we look at the top suburbs in Auckland for future potential for investors, addressing how suburbs typically change in terms of demographic and how investors can play them to their advantage, if they know what to watch for. If you are an Auckland based company why not consider using this feature as a platform to generate leads for your business?

We also look at what to do if an investment property has had illegal or unpermitted renovations completed, what risks are involved, resolving the paperwork and how to avoid purchasing a property which looks good but may bite you in the longer term.

And New Plymouth makes it into our Regional Review in April. Traditionally the bulk of New Zealand's wealthiest residents are located in this bountiful region, but is property investment in this region the secret to wealth creation? We ask the local industry experts for their thoughts.

To advertise within these features or to get more information about how you can use the NZ Property Investor to talk to a nationwide audience of property investors, please contact me either by email (sales@propertyinvestor.co.nz) or call 07 349 1920.
