Dr Antony Vriens, who was Tower’s general manager of product and pricing, and Monica Mathis, who was general manager of marketing and distribution, both finished with the company last Friday.
Dr Vriens, a qualified medical doctor, previously worked for Asteron while Mathis has 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
Tower Group managing director Rob Flannagan’s office could not be immediately reached for comment.
However, a Tower source said there had been an internal memo to staff confirming the changes, which were said to be because of a merger of the departments they were in charge of.
Chris Jackson, who has been appointed general manager sales and marketing, will take over the combined job.
