Milford takes leading position with new system
Wednesday, March 2nd 2016, 4:36PM
Milford Asset Management has appointed an international firm, Charles River, to provide its front and middle office investment management solutions.
The system gives Milford staff a single platform to support investment management processes across the firm’s equity, fixed income, FX and derivatives operations in Auckland and Sydney. Milford is also leveraging Charles River’s fully managed data service and
FIX network for the purchase and sale of global securities.
Milford managing director Anthony Quirk says the process of changing its systems started in mid-2014, "reflecting our goal of moving to an investment management platform at international best practice level."
"It is a highly important step in that process as it moves us to a market leading position amongst New Zealand fund managers."
He said the system will significantly improve productivity for our portfolio managers, centralised dealing function, and operations and compliance teams.
