Can AI pick the best KiwiSaver provider?

KiwiSaver members should think carefully about accepting AI recommendations for the best provider, one AI marketing specialist says.

Richard Conway, chief executive of marketing firm The Optimisers, which specialises in AI, conducted an experiment asking a range of AI tools for recommendations for KiwiSaver providers, power companies and accounting platforms.

He said 74% of ChatGPT interactions named Kernel as the best KiwiSaver option, GoogleAI Mode named Milford 91% of the time and Copilot favoured Simplicity 55% of the time.

“Each one recommended a different one, the variation was quite huge and none of them recommended the big banks.”
