FMA commissions independent review into Samantha Barass
The FMA Board has commissioned an independent employment investigation concerning matters relating to Chief Executive, Samantha Barrass.
Barrass was placed on leave at the end of last month following concerns about workplace culture.
Paul Wicks KC has been appointed as the independent investigator.
"This investigation is separate from the conduct and culture review being undertaken by MBIE," the FMA says in a statement today.
"No findings or conclusions have been reached at this stage, and the FMA cannot provide further detail at this time, for privacy reasons."
James Miller was apppointed as FMA Chairman last week following the resignation of former Chairman Craig Stobo.
Miller faced critisicm about potential conflicts of interested as he was still on the boards of two listed companies; Vista and Ryman.
On Monday he resigned these positions.
