New Zealand advisers played a significant part in the last week's MDRT Global conference in Sydney.

Besides having the largest-ever contingent of advisers attending an MDRT event a number of advisers also presented sessions.

Christchurch-based advisers Brian Burgess and Corey Williams took the main platform, while Williams also presented an hour long Focus session as did Christine Zhao. Nelson-based international speaker Sridhar Krishnamurti also presented a Focus session "How to live your life without limits."

Former MDRT Country chair Travis Hamiltion said, "It was fantastic to have our largest-ever New Zealand contingent attend the global conference in Sydney last week, with 68 attendees making the trip across the Tasman.

"It was a great opportunity for New Zealand advisers and industry professionals to come together, connect with colleagues from around the world, and learn from some of the best in the industry."

"It was particularly exciting to see a strong representation of New Zealand speakers on the conference programme. Budgie (Brian) Burgess and Corey Williams challenged attendees to rethink performance, influence and time during their presentation, while Christine Zhao explored how a solo adviser can build a practice that grows with calm and clarity.

"New Zealand professional speaker Sridhar Krishnamurti also took to the stage, sharing his insights on how to live life without limits."

Behind the scenes, Mat Page, as a Director, and Rick Willis, as an Assistant Director, played key roles in organising the conference volunteers and helping ensure the event ran smoothly.

"The combination of members and non-members being able to attend, alongside the tremendous support of New Zealand insurers who play an instrumental role in helping us deliver events locally, created a fantastic environment.

"It brought together first-time attendees, long-standing members, providers and industry professionals, providing everyone with an opportunity to share ideas, learn from one another and build relationships along the way," Hamilton said.
