E-Loan New Zealand has added WAP access to its Internet home loan service along with the ability to text-chat live with consultants while online.
The company has also added six more lenders to the 18 already offering home loans through the site. These are Invincible Life Assurance, BridgeCorp, Gem Home Loans, Member Focus, Silver Fern Group and the Wairarapa Building Society.
Special software called LivePerson lets customers chat (via text) with an E-Loan consultant while they're at the website so they can ask questions, get personal information on loans or ask for help completing their application. Meanwhile, anyone with a WAP-enabled device (WAP stands for Wireless Application Protocol) can also call up a text version of the website that includes key information and three loan calculators.
