Cairns Lockie has launched an internet banking service, saying it's the first non-bank mortgage lender to do so.
The company, which previously offered customers telephone access to their accounts, has now added an online facility called Cairns Lockie Loan Service Net. This uses 128-bit encryption security to protect customer information.
Features include the ability to check loan balances and loan history over the Internet, to schedule extra payments and request redraws. Director James Lockie said the company had had a really good response from clients so far, even though Loan Service Net had only been available for a couple of days.
Cairns Lockie has also added a 95 per cent loan product to its stable, following moves by a few other lenders to boost their maximum LVR (loan to valuation ratio).
