Roberts has been in charge of the bank's distribution through brokers for many years and has played a key role in the development of the broking industry including a seven year stint on the board of the NZMBA.
Roberts has seen a lot of changes in his time and he talks about many of them in the next issue of the NZ Mortgage Mag.
One of the biggest changes is the current round of regulation. Roberts expects that once the changes are bedded in the broking industry will start to grow again.
"Regulation will give the broking fraternity a kick again," he says. "Levels of business will start increasing again."
ASB has yet to appoint someone to his role.
