Free information seminars on the legislative dispute resolution requirements for financial service providers
Do you know the dispute resolution requirements of the new financial services legislation and your obligations as a financial service provider (FSP)?
All FSPs (not just those that give advice) need to be registered & to be registered you need to be a member of an approved external dispute resolution scheme.
If covered by the new Code of Conduct, FSPs need to have an internal complaints process.
Financial Services Complaints Limited (FSCL), an approved external dispute resolution schemes, are holding FREE information seminars in Christchurch, Wellington & Auckland in August.
These seminars will provide information on what you need to do to comply with the law and by when, the possible effect on your business, your options for external dispute resolution and the services FSCL can offer you. We will also provide advice on dealing with complaints internally to prevent them getting out of hand.
In Auckland and Wellington Chapman Tripp will present an overview of the legislative requirements and answer questions.
If the new legislation includes you or you are unsure if it does, you should attend a FSCL seminar.
