A little competition to end the week
A little competition to clearly see what Financial Advice New Zealand is all about and what you are not allowed to call the proposed new body.

It's been a busy old time recently with big events like the release of the FMA's findings on life insurance churn and plans to create a new association to promote advice.
We've been told very firmly that this new group, Financial Advice New Zealand, can't be called FANZ and the abbreviation is essentially banned.
Fair enough considering that SBS has a subsidiary call FANZ which it uses for its funds management and investment business.
On a more serious note though former IFA president (the association was probably called something else when he was the boss) and SiFA member Murray Weatherston has issued a little challenge to the new group.
The challenge is to articulate the vision for Financial Advice New Zealand in 60 words or less.
And there is a prize for the person with the best vision. To find out more about Murray's challenge read the comments in this story: Associations expecting a yes vote
