Free mental health service continued for three months
The online GP consultations with CareHQ and up to three counselling or wellbeing coaching sessions with Raise have been available to the company's clients since December.
Nick Astwick, CEO of Southern Cross Health Insurance, believes the strong uptake from members so far show the support is needed.
“As a membership society, we’re uniquely focused on looking for ways to support our members and their whānau with their health and wellbeing. The arrival of Omicron, and the challenges it has brought to the community, has meant that increasing access to telehealth and mental wellbeing services, by removing the financial barriers, has been essential.”
More than 5,000 appointments and consultations have been booked so far and the service will now extend to June 30.
