The Women in Law Leadership Auckland Summit 2016
22 January 2016
Perspectives On The Optimal Balance Of Soft And Technical Skills Required For Leadership Excellence In A Legal Environment. Liquid Learning is delighted to present the Women in Law Leadership Summit - the premier opportunity for talented and high potential women in legal roles in all sectors to develop the skills necessary to lead effectively and achieve success. Since the early 1990s, there have been more female than male law graduates. In 2013 women comprised 61.8% of new admissions to the profession and in 2015 women hold 44.2% of all practising certificates. However, these numbers do not extend to the senior leadership levels where women make up only 27.1% of partners and directors in law firms. The Women in Law Leadership Summit 2016 will provide an exceptional platform for women to share their experiences of overcoming challenges, seizing opportunities and reaching senior leadership positions. Practical advice and guidance will be given on issues including work / life balance, optimising your mentoring and networking relationships, high level communication skills and overcoming challenges to your progression. Successful women will highlight the skills they have developed and strategies they have used to progress into senior leadership roles. Existing and aspiring female leaders will have the opportunity to build their leadership capabilities and their professional networks to enable them to achieve professional success and satisfaction.
