Womens Charity Luncheon
9 November 2018
Throw in the Towel with Mike Pero Mortgages and Homes of Hope charity luncheon
A chance to Network with fellow inspiring Women in Tauraunga, listen to Hilary Price, CEO of Homes of hope charity who will talk to us about the fantastic work they do for our future generation, and we are also very fortunate to have Rebecca Tereu and Rebecca Anderson come along and share their stories of their personal journey to success.
So join us for an afternoon of inspiration and a chance to connect with others in your community.
Proceeds will go to Homes of Hope. We are asking for donations of a fun beach towel for children aged 4-12yrs, for us to pass on to this wonderful charity in preparation for the upcoming summer. This is something the charity is often short of. For more information, please feel free to call Tammy on 0212378190 or Shona on 0274890113.
Homes of Hope
We are passionate about delivering the very best foster care services within a strong community.
We prevent siblings from being separated and ensure stability of their care for as long as it is needed.
Every month on average, a kiwi child is murdered by someone who is meant to look after them.
Dozens more are suffering on-going abuse and neglect. Yet every childhood is worth fighting for and our mission at Homes of Hope is to provide safe, loving homes and the therapeutic support these children need to recover from the terrible trauma of abuse and neglect and to begin re-building their lives.
Timely, early intervention is critical to ensure their journey of healing and restoration. Our vision is to see each child, living out their hopes, dreams and goals that have been nurtured during their time with us.
Brothers and sisters get to stay together as we provide a supportive caring environment within an extended family setting, which is consistent and stable.
We do this as a passionate and committed team. There are many more children needing our help and protection and your support, our generous community, will help us to do this.
Rebecca Tereu, growing up with an extremely broken background, has had her fair share of trauma and challenges. Today she is a wife, a mother to two children, a successful business consultant, author of the book “Purpose Driven”, is a columnist for a women’s lifestyle and business magazine, owner of LifeandInsights.org – a website designed to help inspire, encourage and motivate today’s woman, and uses much of her time to encourage and mentor women both personally and professionally. A couple of years ago Rebecca was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and has spent the last two years in treatment learning how to strengthen her faith and rebuild/reclaim her life. In her words, she has “a few things to say” to women who think they’ve missed the boat in life or are struggling to get back up off the ground.
Rebecca Anderson - Operations management Business growth and development. Staff management. Retail Operations and setup. Specialties: Creative Direction, Design and Development, Brand Management, Strategic Marketing and positioning, Vision and Focus, Leadership.
Rebecca Anderson talks about selling up to stepping into a new career starting Chaos & Harmony. Married with 2 children, chaos & Harmony creative director Rebecca Anderson and her husband sold everything and moved to Italy so Rebecca could learn to design shoes. On their return Rebecca built a business that stands out.
