Workplace Savings NZ & Women in Super Influencer Series
30 June 2016
Lunch with a Leader - Liam Mason, Director of Regulation, FMA Interested in understanding all you need to know about managed investment scheme licensing and the upcoming final stages of the transition to the Financial Markets Conduct (FMC) Act 2013? Then Workplace Savings NZ & Women in Super would love you to join them on 30 June for a luncheon with Liam Mason, Director of Regulation, Financial Markets Authority (FMA). Register for this event here. Liam will talk licensing, and what licensed institutions should expect as the transition to the FMC Act comes into the final stages on 1 December 2016. He’ll discuss what’s going well – and not so well – with managed investment schemes, and how the FMC Act requires a step-up in compliance by fund managers, boards and supervisors. He’ll also explain the bigger role that supervisors will play – and the greater expectations the FMA will have of them under the FMC Act, describing the ‘ideal world’ in managed investment schemes. So if you’re a trustee, supervisor, fund manager, KiwiSaver fund, general counsel, AFA, RFA, QFE, or regulatory or compliance manager, and are keen to hear from – and ask questions of – one of New Zealand’s most experienced regulators, please join us for lunch in Auckland on Thursday 30 June. We look forward to seeing you there.
