The Association of Investment Advisers and Financial Planners (IAFP) has its fourth chief executive in less than two years.Deloitte Touche Tomatsu have been appointed corporate managers to the association following the resignation of Thompson Weston.
As a result of this change the reigns of the administrative side of the association pass from Graeme Cosgrove to Vicki Manchester.
Thompson Weston won the job of running the association two years ago when the IAFP board made a decision to close the national office in Newmarket and outsource its administrative functions.
That move coincided with the resignation of Tom Kenny as chief executive. Angela Redmond succeeded Kenny, however she left the firm and went overseas several months into the job.
Thompson Weston then appointed Cosgrove to the position. However the firm decided to resign as corporate managers to the association after it lost a similar contract to run the Jewellers and Watchmakers Association.
Thompson Weston’s decision to resign coincides with a board review of the its performance.
Deloitte’s won a tender to take over the contract and start on September 12.
