Irrational Exuberance - Robert Schiller Rich Dad's Guide to Investing - Robert Kiyosaki How to Lose Friends and Influence People - Jonar Nadar AND MORE!
Thursday, December 14th 2000, 11:11PM
In Irrational Exuberance Shiller examines the US public's fascination with stocks. He says a number of factors including the rise of the Internet, 401(k) plans, increased coverage by the popular media of financial news, overly optimistic cheerleading by analysts and other pundits, the decline of inflation, and the rise of the mutual fund industry are reasons for this fascination. Shiller believes the market is grossly overvalued and the factors which have lead to this situation will abate. His message to investors is to look beyond shares to protect against the inevitable downturn. An excellent book well worth buying for Christmas. |
