Tower chairman to go
Tower chairman Colin Beyer has confirmed that he plans to step down within the next six to 12 months.
Following the company's shock loss last year and the departure and a very public spate with former group chief executive James Boonziaer, has been under pressure to step down.
A statement of his intentions will go out to Tower's 100,000-plus shareholders this week, a report in the NZ Herald says.
Beyer and fellow directors Lindsay Cuming and Olaf O'Duill are up for re-election at the annual meeting in Wellington on March 27.
