‘Let’s Talk KiwiSaver’ – Inland Revenue August forum
The second in a series of Inland Revenue forums for potential KiwiSaver scheme providers
Wednesday, August 9th 2006, 10:11AM
AudienceInland Revenue will be holding a further forum on KiwiSaver in August. Because of the technical nature of these forums, they will be restricted to potential KiwiSaver scheme providers, professional advisors to scheme providers, and providers of funds administration services.
Intended content
The focus of the August forum will be on the processes, IT systems development and key interfaces required to deliver KiwiSaver.
An agenda is currently being developed, and will be sent out to registered attendees before the forum, together with background material. At this stage, we intend to start with a brief overview of progress to date, and then go on to discuss a series of topical IT systems issues. There will also be an update on the process proposed for developing the Memorandum of Understanding.
As noted in the first forum, Inland Revenue will not be able to discuss legislation and policy regarding KiwiSaver, or the MED RFP tender process, as these are with the Finance and Expenditure Select Committee, and the MED, respectively.
If there are any questions that you would like Inland Revenue to address on its role as KiwiSaver Central Administrator (in particular on IT systems development), please email questions@ird.govt.nz by 5pm on August 18th.
Forum details
The forums will be held in Auckland on 28 August and Wellington on 29 August 2006. Details of the forum venues and additional background information will be sent to registered attendees.
Registration
Registration is required for the forum. Please register by email to questions@ird.govt.nz, before 5pm on August 18th, and include the following details;
- Name of organisation
- Name, position and contact details of each person attending.
We will confirm your registration by return email. Early registration will enable us to send out a final agenda and any pre-reading to attendees.
Please note that it may be necessary to place a limit on the number of people attending from each organisation, to ensure that all interested parties can attend. As an indication, we request that no more than 3 people register from any one organisation.
If you cannot attend, but would like to receive notes from the forum, please register your interest by email, also to questions@ird.govt.nz
