Tower’s fund managers win awards
Three Tower Investments international fund managers, appointed to manage funds offered in New Zealand, have won top billing in their respective specialist categories at the Global Pensions 10th Anniversary Awards held in London.
The Global Pensions fixed income provider of the year award went to US bond manager Pacific Investment Management Company, who manages Tower’s BondPlus Fund and Tower Global Commodity Fund.
The Global Pensions hedge fund of funds provider of the year was taken out by UK-based GAM. GAM is the appointed manager of the Tower GAM global Gateway Fund and the Tower GAM Multi-Trading Fund.
And thirdly, the Tower Spotlight Asia Fund manager, Aberdeen Asset Management picked up the emerging market manager of the year award.
“We are delighted to see such internationally prestigious acknowledgement of external managers we have selected for roles in our international fixed interest, hedge fund/absolute return, and Asian regional equity asset categories,” says Tower CEO Sam Stubbs.
Forsyth Barr expands to TaranakiForsyth Barr is expanding and is opening an office in New Plymouth.
The office will initially have two full-time advisers and an assistant.
In the past six months, Forsyth Barr has opened offices in Cambridge, Ashburton and Timaru.
