IFA launches more Code Cracker roadshows
The Institute of Financial Advisers (IFA) has had enough interest expressed in its Code Cracker road shows to hold another series and one of them is in a joint venture with the Life Brokers Association (LBA).
Peter Lee says he has been talking with LBA president Ron Flood and will be working with the association at its Okoroire presentation.
He says the IFA is happy to work with other associations in such a manner as regulation affects all financial industry bodies.
The Code Cracker road shows are running from the 19 - 24 November and so far 20 to 25 people are signed up to each session.
International dispute resolution expert coming to NZ
Harvard trained mediator Nina Harding is in New Zealand at the invitation of the Insurance & Savings Ombudsman (ISO) to talk to advisers at a series of five workshops from 15 - 19 November.
The workshops are open to anyone with an interest in learning more about dispute resolution and are designed to help providers and advisers improve their dispute resolution practice and prepare for the new regime.
Harding believes good complaints handling and early resolution has benefits beyond compliance.
"Research shows that 88% of customers who feel a complaint was handled well will remain loyal to a company," she says.
