AMP and Kiwibank make changes

Kiwibank has reduced its one-year fixed home loan rate by 0.15% to 5.80%. It has also ended the "special" six month rate promotion, increasing the rate from 5.59% to 5.75%. The changes are effective from 18 March 2011.
AMP Home Loans has also made changes to all its rates, except for the one year term. Falls range from 50 basis points for floating rates to between 9 and 16 points for other fixed terms with the bigger cuts being made to 6 monht, four and five year rates.
