Due to the earthquake devastation of the Grand Chancellor Hotel in Christchurch the NZMBA has decided to shift its annual conference back to Auckland.
"It has certainly been a very difficult time for us to have to shift our conference from Christchurch but due to the events and level of damage to the central city of Christchurch there was no other choice. We have investigated a number of other options around the country but for time and cost this is certainly the best option," NZMBA chairman Darren Pratley said.
The venue has now been confirmed as being the Spencer on Byron which is located on the North Shore. Pratley says this hotel looks to be able to provide all the things we will need in a relaxed and professional environment. We have been focused on ensuring that the venue provides cost-effective value for the members and also is conveniently located.
The NZMBA's conference has been always centred on providing members with great learning opportunities and international speakers that provide them with information and knowledge that assists in developing new business. This year looks to be no different with the added value of a number of international speakers that have been secured to present.
The NZMBA also has confirmed two international speakers that will be presenting at this year's conference.
