Partners Life has now been in operation for over 15 months and in this time has become a significant organisation in the life insurance sector, with an estimated 16% of new business market share.
Managing director Naomi Ballantyne says she "is pleased to accept the invitation" and looks forward to working closely with the FSC and its other members.
"New Zealanders are chronically underinsured. We are pleased by the FSC's intentions to bring this issue to the forefront and to look at ways of addressing this."
The Financial Services Council, previously known as the Investment Savings and Insurance Association Board, had a change of direction in 2011, with a movement towards developing into a pan-financial services sector industry organisation.
