Mortgages hit new high
New Zealand's mortgage lending has reached a new high.

Reserve Bank statistics out today show there was $179.36 billion in mortgages in February, up 4.3% on a year earlier.
In the week ended March 22, there were 7727 mortgage approvals, worth $1.35 billion.
The average one-year fixed rate for a new customer is now 5.38%.
