Heathcote Investment Partners and The Investment Store work closely together on many projects, including the annual Meet the Managers event.
The Investment Store is headed by Matthew Mimms, who used to be head of retail sales and service at BT Funds Management.
Heathcote Investment Partners’ director is Clayton Coplestone, who previously worked in Asia, helping to set up Korean and Chinese asset management firms.
It had been suggested that they were on the verge of a merger but Coplestone said things had not progressed that far.
“Matt and I are working very closely on a number of projects together, although – while discussing the possibility of bringing the two entities together – we haven’t yet finalised anything here.”
He said heavy work commitments meant they had agreed to defer any more discussions about the future of the firms until later in the year.
