nib adds travel insurance

Health insurer, nib, has launched its first travel insurance product with a new partnership with global travel insurance provider, World Nomads Group (WNG).
The new travel insurance offering complements nib’s core health and medical insurance business by providing a range of simple and compelling products for New Zealanders heading overseas on short-term trips.
nib, CEO Rob Hennin, said the new product-line provided the health fund with a major opportunity to tap into a large and growing market in New Zealand.
“The introduction of nib branded travel insurance supports nib’s continued expansion and diversification in the insurance space in New Zealand."
