Long rates up, short rates to fall?

TSB's 10-year fixed rate has risen slightly from 5.89% to 5.95%. While this rate at the long end of the curve has risen there could soon be downward pressure on short-term interest rates.
ANZ and Westpac have followed ASB and are now forecasting the OCR will be cut this year. If that happens floating rates are likely to come down too. Currently around a quarter of all home loans are sitting on floating rates. For more READ ON
