Complectus, owner of Perpetual Guardian, has finalised the purchase of New Zealand Trustee Services Limited (NZTS) for an undisclosed sum.
NZTS was founded in 1999 and provides trust establishment and management services to more than 5000 trusts from offices in Auckland and Christchurch.
NZTS will join the Perpetual Guardian group of companies and provide private client services to New Zealand families and individuals. NZTS’ clients are being advised of the transaction. NZTS will continue to operate under its existing brand within the Perpetual Guardian group of companies.
Andrew Barnes, managing director of Complectus and Perpetual Guardian, says the acquisition is a positive development for both companies following acquisitions earlier this year of My Bucket List, Covenant Trustee Services and Foundation Corporate Trust, and the September appointment of Grant Kemble as chief executive of Complectus.
