10 Ross investors in liquidator sights
Wednesday, January 17th 2018, 8:30PM
Liquidators for Ross Asset Management will chase 10 investors through the courts as they work towards paying those who lost money in the Ponzi scheme.
They have filed legal proceedings.
Another 158 investors have reached settlements with the liquidator, worth $17.5 million, leaving 43 outstanding. Thirty-three are still in negotiations.
The Supreme Court ruled lawyer Hamish McIntosh could keep the principal he invested with Ross Asset Management but must return false profits. That spurred the liquidators to settle with investors who profited from the scheme.
Ross reported false profits of just over $350m.
