Pie Funds puts two staff in London
Auckland-based fund manager Pie Funds is opening a new London office.

Founder and chief executive Mike Taylor said it was a natural move as the business expanded.
Guy Thornewill, a new hire, and Chris Wright, who has been with the manager for four years, were moving there next week.
“Pie has got four products that have an international focus and now with KiwiSaver we are expanding again and a significant portion of the funds managed will be globally focused.”
He said, with a UK/Europe-specific fund, it made sense to have a team in London as opposed to Asia or New York.
International investments had been run from New Zealand for the past five years, he said, but the growth in the business meant it would be easier to have people on the ground interacting with companies there.
“We think we can serve Australia out of Auckland pretty easily and in the same way we can serve Frankfurt out of London.”
