Residents fight Te Atatu marae in court
Residents opposing a marae at Te Atatu Peninsula are taking their fight to the Environment Court.

The council initially set aside 2.5 hectares of the site for a marae in January 2002 after changing its district plan.
But the ratepayers' group opposes the plan amendment, saying the land was originally set aside as open space reserve.
