$3 million makeover for Lorne St precinct
Chances are if you're a street in Auckland's central business district, it's only a matter of time before you get a multi-million dollar overhaul.

The Auckland City Council plans to spend $3m on an upgrade of Lorne St and connecting public areas, including courtyards and walkways around the Auckland Art Gallery, over the next three years.
The council's recreation and events committee chairman, councillor Scott Milne, says the proposed Lorne St upgrade will create "an attractive, user-friendly public space".
