The Government may review the accommodation supplement as part of a 10-year plan to make housing more affordable.It is also keen to develop programmes to improve access to home ownership for lower-income households.
Housing Minister Steve Maharey says more needs to be done to ensure all sectors of society have access to quality, affordable housing.
He says recent pressures in housing including rising rents, a housing boom and growing state house waiting lists.
