Resort Pacifica's development will establish 150 freehold sites, previously under unit title, and complete the golfing facilities and new accommodation.A suitable wastewater disposal package agreed between council and Resort Pacifica, coupled with changes to the original resource consent conditions, allows residents who invested in the former Ballantyne Resort to develop their properties.
"From the outset council has been committed to ensuring all parties - land owners, the developer, tangata whenua and other vested interests - work together to develop a package that benefits everyone," Mayor Graeme Weld says.
