Battle looms over second sinking house
A second Coromandel Court homeowner is taking legal action against the Palmerston North City Council over the state of his sinking house.

As Barry and Sheryl McKay wait for battle to commence with the council over subsidence under their home at 7 Coromandel Court, neighbouring landlord Dave Morrison is in the thick of a five-year court fight for compensation.Mr Morrison says his house, at 8 Coromandel Court, has problems similar to those afflicting the McKays' three-bedroom house.
The floor at 8 Coromandel Court falls 15cm over the 9m from the middle of the kitchen to the back of the house, water pools on one side of the shower, and any water that spills on to the bathroom floor runs across the hall and into a bedroom.
