Marlborough house prices hold
The Nelson-Marlborough region has ranked the highest improvement in home affordability for the second consecutive quarter, according to the latest AMP Home Affordability Report for the June 2005 quarter.

With a 4.3 percent improvement, the region took the title of the first region in almost two years to record a 12-monthly drop in median selling prices.Over the past 12 months, the region's median dwelling price fell 3.6 percent.
Despite the fall in prices, the Nelson-Marlborough region still maintains its position as the second least affordable region in the country after Auckland.
All other regions in the country reported an increase in median dwelling prices over the past year except Nelson-Marlborough.
