Culum Manson, of Manson Developments, said the incentives included free gym membership, and free use of meeting rooms with the provision of video-conferencing facilities. The $110 million, 29-storey, yet-to-be-named tower between Fort St and Shortland St is due to be topped off next month. One floor is going up every eight working days and builders are up to level 23.
Of the 14 floors leased so far, seven have been taken by law firm Simpson Grierson. The balance are either committed or under negotiation. The roof is due to go on the building in September and the office tower is due to open in April.
Manson said he hoped to close more leasing deals soon, bringing the amount of floorspace signed off to over the half-way mark. He signed up Minter Ellison Rudd Watts last month, and now aims to draw tenants out of neighbouring buildings.
