Vic Park plan nearly ready
Kitchener Group is working with Auckland City's urban design panel to finalise plans for a revamp of Auckland's Victoria Park Markets.

Kitchener chief executive Chris Aiken said this week his company wanted to revive the retail venue and enhance the property's historic aspects.Kitchener, controlled by Princes Wharf developer David Henderson, bought the markets in February for $14.1 million and has spent seven months planning changes.
"Our strategy is for a full conservation plan and restoration of the markets," Aiken said.
Kitchener will demolish the parking building next to the markets to make way for an apartment building.
