Flooding problems overflow
Newmarket business owners are angry at Auckland City Council's lack of action after last month's flash flooding.

Torrential rain on June 25 flooded many roads in the popular shopping area, cutting off businesses and causing water to run into shops.Swarovski on Remuera Rd was one of the worst hit, with water causing thousands of dollars worth of damage and forcing owners to close for two days.
Swarovski New Zealand general manager Estelle Arts says: "I'm angry by the council's lackadaisical non-interest.
"Until now we haven't had a flooding problem, but the drain didn't cope. It is totally inadequate.
